We all have them, but so few of them get a chance to develop. We want your ideas to grow into something big and are here to help you.
What is IdeaBox?
IdeaBox – King’s College London’s first ever business competition for undergrads. If you think that means it’s for Management students only then think again, this competition is for anyone.
It doesn’t matter what your idea is, if you study English and don’t have a clue what a cash flow forecast looks like, then fear not. This competition is about Ideas and we will help you by giving you all the resources you need to develop your idea.
What could my idea be?
When it comes to a good idea, you’ll know it’s good when it hits you. It could be so complicated that you need to be James Dyson to understand it, or so simple that you can’t believe no one else has done it before. Whatever your idea, let us help you give it the chance it needs to develop.
So how will IdeaBox work?
IdeaBox is comprised of a series of workshops aimed at teaching you everything you’ll need to know to develop your idea and putting your existing skills to good use. We encourage undergraduate students of ALL academic backgrounds and ALL levels of entrepreneurial experience (or lack thereof) to attend and give that creative, ambitious and daydreaming part of your brain some exercise.
Ok. How do I submit my idea?
Submit your ideas of around 100 words via one of the following methods:

How is it judged?
The best ideas will be selected for the IdeaBox final where we’ll help develop your idea into a short business pitch. You’ll have an opportunity to pitch your idea to a panel of successful entrepreneurs. There will also be the opportunity to pitch your idea against other universities at a later date.
Are there Prizes?
Once everyone has had time to develop their ideas, they’ll be an opportunity to compete in the IdeaBox final for a series of prizes aimed to help your idea get the idea off the ground. The winner of IdeaBox will receive:
- A cash prize of over £500
- Free office space in central London for 3 months (courtesy of eOffice)
- A highly successful mentors help for 6 months
- A team of interns to help you develop your idea
- 1 month’s free advertising on a high ranking website
- Marketing support (i.e. press releases etc).
